Digital Promos // How We Got To Now

PBS approached L&C to create a cross platform promotion for their new series How We Got To Now. In the series, best-selling author Stephen Johnson takes us on a journey into the past, highlighting several modern products that wouldn’t be possible without help from pioneers long forgotten. 

 

Our challenge was to tell three of those stories in 15 seconds. The focus of our exploration was on computers, flight and audio. We dove headfirst into the history of the technology we take for granted, and found some of the most iconic gear crafted by humankind. We treated each object with the respect it deserved, adding a moving shadow to give the commodity a sense of weight and signifying the passage of time.
